Well Within has a variety of outreach programs available to the community. Classes, integrative healing services and retreats can be customized to meet the needs of any audience. Current collaborative partners include medical clinics, local churches, non-profit organizations, and businesses seeking holistic employee wellness programs.
Classes
Topics for classes that Well Within offers to present to community organizations include:
- an orientation to holistic wellness
- personal assessments and self-awareness activities
- self-care as key to optimal health and healing and
- stress-reduction strategies in body, mind, and spirit.
Integrative Healing Services
Well Within coordinates Integrative Healing Services (one-to-one healing touch and qigong sessions) for community organizations. We screen volunteer energy healers and schedule them to provide their services to interested participants in organizations on a regular basis.
For example, in March, 2009, Well Within opened an Energy Work clinic on Friday afternoons at the Dorothy Day Center in St Paul. We have three clinic rooms available to provide energy healing each Friday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. In the first year, Well Within provided 12 volunteers who made 130 client visits. With the cooperation of Healthcare for the Homeless this outreach service to the homeless community continues to be a great success.
Once client noted, “I’ve never felt so much energy come from one person that wasn’t anger.” Other organizations that Well Within coordinates integrative healing services for are the Family Service Center, American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge and St. Mary’s Clinics.
Becoming Well Within Retreats
In these popular one-day retreats, Well Within staff and volunteers provide an introduction to self-care that empowers the healer within. Well Within has offered this retreat to the following communities: Holy Rosary Parish, Incarnation, Neighborhood House—an Hispanic Community Center (using a Spanish Interpreter) and Eagle’s Nest—a domestic violence shelter for women.
